Dredge: The Iron Rig

So far, this DLC is what I would have wanted if I would have had to wait for it. Fortunately, I didn't have to wait since I bought all DLC and the base game at the same time. So far I am really digging the progression in this DLC. It's quite satisfying. The new gear and fish really add to the base game! Update: I am almost done with the DLC "story content". My opinions have slightly changed. The story additions? Still really good. The new fish? Still really good. The building of the rig? Good in theory. But the problem is, as you continue to expand the various "shops" in the rig, they start to have less worthwhile additions to add to your arsenal. Majority of the items introduced are not really necessary. Sure, they give a lot of quality of life improvements, but after the fact of necessity. I liken this to having unlocked the purple and white pikmin onions at the end of Pikmin 4. A nice consolation prize, but now what is the point? I've played most of the game without it. Current consensus: still good and worth it, just expect not to be wowed by the unlockable gear. Update: some really good horror elements with the scientists' arc. Without spoiling it, I just want to say that this element of the DLC was freaking rad.
