This game is just on another level entirely. I believe it is one of the most well-rounded games in history. It has what it probably my favourite open world of all time (maybe other than CDPR's other open world is TW3: WH), a stellar story, incredible VA performances, spectacular gameplay, excellent graphics, beautiful (sometimes grisly) visuals, and an unbelievable soundtrack (and I didn't even mention their DLC). There are only 2 discernable flaws with this game. 1: the release. Not much else to say, but we move on. 2: The fact that the game is meant to be an RPG. CDPR is famously bad at creating a true RPG experience that you would typically find in a CRPG like Baldur's Gate. While they put more focus on character building and decision making than most other Western Psuodo-RPG's of its kind like the newer AC games, and Ghost of Tsushima, they don't reach anywhere near the roleplaying heights those games CRPG's do. Partly because CDPR likes telling fantastic and emotional stories, regardless of what choices you make, and because they like to have a wonderfully voiced MC, and because they like having bigger more streamlined paths fleshhed out, than many little ones. Also, the choices made in Cyberpunk rarely feel impactful, and the character of V feels very insignificantly changed throughout the story. This is a flaw I don't hold the game against because I understand that CDPR aren't interested in making a CRPG, but they act like their games have an unprecedented level of decision making like Detroit Become Human, and in Cyberpunk specifically, wherein V is MEANT and SHOULD be a blank-slate, fully roleplayable character, he is always the same guy, just a worse or a better decision maker. Mostly because his 2 incredible VAs were hired. See, with Geralt, it's understood that you aren't playing a self insert. You are meant to become Geralt, not make Geralt like you. And the decisions and roleplay opportunities you have in TW3: WH reinforce that idea. In Cyberunk, V is usually the same type or character. Tough, smart, badass, and cool. They can be weirdly malicious if you pick more "bad" options, and the voice work feels oddly out of place with the character. CDPR wanted to let player's have the choice of a roleplayable character, but not the personality of one. And that lack of synergy (and a more overall lack of important and impactful choices) make for a worse "RPG" experience. But, yeah, the game is still a 5 star. It's just too good.
