Resident Evil 0

My lovely girlfriend has gotten me into Resident Evil and I’m going through the games chronologically so naturally this was my starting point. I really love how atmospheric it can get and these early titles really used the fixed camera angles to up the suspension and claustrophobia. I also thought the gameplay of switching between Rebecca and Billy led to some fun puzzle mechanics and challenges. This game does feel like it needs a lot more in the story department though. You don’t get to learn a lot about your leads and I feel like this game just serves to fill in some gaps for RE1. Pretty solid prequel but definitely doesn’t feel like a necessary one.
