Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

One of the best RPGs and overall best games I have ever played. Story and narrative are amazing with great cast of characters. Writing is thought provoking and makes you think long after the credits roll. E33 puts a fun twist on the normal turn based combat that makes you active during each turn not just your own party. One of the few turn based games that might draw people who dont like them into the genre and hope that it is the next step for the genre moving forward. TURN BASED IS NOT DEAD. The only drawback of the game would be the balance. Some builds are ridiculously overpowered and undermines most of the bosses in the game which puts a damper on progression. The best boss in this game could be invalidated entirely by being one shot and i had to switch out my build just to experience it in its entirety and a lot of bosses can be said the same about. Music is a 10/10. Crazy to think that the composer was hired off of soundcloud. Amazing to see what such a small team is capable of and it stand the test of time as one of my favourite games of all time.
