Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Remastered

This installment is definitely better than the first game, but I still don't see it being a masterpiece. The story stepped up a bit and the bigger action set pieces were fun, but a lot of the same issues remain. The gameplay still feels clunky at times, especially cover movement and climbing. I also had some weird issues with cutscenes not loading properly when entering areas, which got confusing. The constant one liners hurt the tone as well. Another thing worth mentioning is the pathfinding, which can be annoying because of the dark, muddy lighting that a lot of 2010s games had, and the camera angles are (really) awful at times. The repeated train chapter was weird too, since they could’ve just cut back to the present instead of making us replay it. Still, it’s fun and definitely an improvement over the first one, just nowhere near a grand masterpiece for me. 6.5 - 7/10
