Breath of the Wild is a remarkable game. The world is a delight to explore, especially with features such as gliding and climbing, and the artstyle is absolutely breathtaking. Although the narrative is somewhat simple, the characters are well written and are all very likable. The bosses are also very fun, with some fights actually being quite a challenge for the younger 2018 version of myself. The fighting mechanics are also enjoyable and satisfying, and I've found that the progression throughout the game is more based on your own skill level rather than how much health or stamina you have, which is something I enjoyed seeing. Upon playing again, I was able to kill powerful enemies such as Lionels right from the start of the game due to my own skill level. The game however suffers from repetitiveness when it comes to its shrines, which I got bored of after solving yet another puzzle for the 40th time, and I am not a fan of the weapon durability at all. Although fun to explore, the map also unfortunately proves to be rather empty in places and lacking in anything worthwhile aside from aforementioned shrines. But no game is perfect, and despite these drawbacks, Breath of the Wild truly is one of the best games of all time.
