Death Stranding is a peculiar game. The narrative is very strange in a way I'm unsure if I enjoy, with the game constantly throwing cutscenes at you for the first few hours, at times feeling like a film more than a video game. I found the storytelling technique to be a bit overwhelming, which makes sense as upon reading about the game online I've been told Hideo Kojima games are often written this way. I enjoyed the first 14 hours of my playtime, and loved building roads and creating more efficient methods to deliver cargo across the map. The graphics are incredible, especially in 4K on my projector screen. After 14 hours though, the game got progressively dull and repetitive. There isn't much variety in gameplay, you do the same thing over and over. I really want to come back and finish it, and might do in the future, but it just hasn't hooked me unfortunately. Maybe it's just not for me
