Now this game was quite a ride. The world was beautiful, being it the desert or the savana forests the lighting is gorgeous The story is grounded and one of the most daring video games narratives that doesn't appeal to a liberal audience and rather approaches the themes of 3rd world 1st world dichotomy. The gunplay is suprisingly fun and challenging despite it being a 2008 game with mechanics like weapon breakage overtime and ennemies screaming their strategies and your position to each other And Jeep is plastered all over this bastard The fires are not only authentic but also expressive to their environment and add alot gameplay wise especially for the patient players out there. The environments while not destructible still give some layer of reactivity to explosions and fire. Interacting with that as well is fun Despite some weird turn overs in the ending and some plot armor the story from start to end was masterful. It's not a hipocritical and liberal borderline racist narrative of "It's bad to protect yourself, you should be the silent victim and both sides are wrong". It's grounded in multiple layers of history and really shows the grim outcomes of imperialism on the 3rd world and the decieving strategies they use. It lacks some quality of life stuff and the missions sometimes get stale and repetetive (especially side quests), and the map feels littered with collectibles that are annoying to collect at best but overall this might be one of the best Ubisoft games ever made and a masterful game for its generation. Might be the only far cry game worth replaying after I finish the franchise and I'm pretty exited for what's coming next in far cry 3 and 4.
