Dwarf Fortress

promoted as the biggest fantasy world simulator, dwarf fortress it's lacking on what should be the most important thing in every game, playability. the game is incredibly filled with detail and realism until you face the incredible overload of information, complex mechanics that are never explained to the player, bugs for the most basic tasks like hunting or even planting crops. overall it's a really harsh experience even for new players who are experienced in games of similar genres, dwarf fortress seems to be reserved to a certain class of elitists who will be willing to spend hubdreds of hours (and guides) just to be functioning at a basic level.
